Kenya is a presidential republic and multi-party system in East Africa, its capital Nairobi. The President serves as both head of state and head of government, and the bicameral Parliament of Kenya, comprising the National Assembly and the Senate, holds legislative power. Kenya is governed under the 2010 constitution, adopted by referendum on 4 August 2010.
