Sebastien Lecornu has served as Prime Minister of France since 10 October 2025. He previously held several ministerial posts, including Minister of the Armed Forces from 2022 to 2025, Minister for Overseas France from 2020 to 2022 and Minister for Local Authorities from 2018 to 2020, and is a member of the Renaissance party positioned on the right of the political spectrum with Gaullist and socially conservative views. Before national office he was President of the Departmental Council of Eure and Mayor of Vernon.
