The Scholz Government was the government of Germany led by Chancellor Olaf Scholz from 8 December 2021 to 6 May 2025, initially a coalition of the Social Democratic Party, the Greens and the Free Democratic Party (FDP) until the FDP left the coalition in November 2024. It was the immediate predecessor to the current Merz Government.
