Treaties and International Agreements

Binding instruments negotiated and agreed between states or international bodies, including peace treaties, founding charters of international organizations, conventions on the laws of war and diplomacy, and the Nuremberg Principles, the internationally agreed statement of law that followed the Nuremberg trials. Belongs here: any text whose legal force comes from agreement among two or more states or from an international body's own charter. Does not belong here: a domestic constitutional or rights text adopted by one state acting alone, grouped under Constitutions and Founding Charters or Declarations and Foundational Rights Instruments, or a court's own ruling interpreting such an instrument, grouped under Judicial Decisions and Rulings.
